The softwares used for this project were as follows:

While calculating the loads an alternative method was used to estimate the loadings on the that are to be transferred from the slabs to the beam. Using AutoCAD the plan was traced and the area was calculated:

Microsoft Excel was used to calculate the loadings  as well as designing the beams and columns.

On Stadd I'd Made the model but failed to analyse it. I do wish to work on the analysis of the structure using Stadd Pro.

Stadd Pro Rendered Model For the Project
Well All this was the software and calculations, the final works end with sheets. All the structural calculations are to be represented on a drawing and which involved some intense hours of drawing...

My Drawing Set-up

Hope you found this post useful and please let me know if there are any scopes for development available.  Gags! I call errors to be scopes of development :-).

Would appreciate your comments, if you like this blog I'd recommend you to check out other useful stuffs on this blog.

SD2 Visit Report 2 | (How I Applied The Styles Feature in Word)

Learn How the Styles in word can be used:

Mircosoft word comes along with a great loads of useful features, one such is the style function in word. Simply refer the above PDF and you'll notice that the headings are and sub-headings are all made uniformly. Also there is complete hierarchy in the document, styles makes it easy and simple to implement that in the document and much more than that you can even modify the designs of the document. I simply love what Microsoft Office Products offer and each time I use them they provide something more than I ever expect from it.

To Be super-user and have more idea on what I've mentioned above we strongly recommend that you see the following video:

Thats All we wanted to offer for now, more details tricks on using Microsoft Word to appear soon on this blog, do keep visiting...

Cheers!

Water Treatment Plant Excel Template

Water Treatment plants are required to treat the water to the citizens before supplying it so that the water is free from the impurities, bacteria and viruses. Generally these plants are set-up and maintained by the government agencies, in Pune its the PMC that regulates the activities of the plant.

Designing such a plant is a difficult task and so a number of softwares are  available and are also custom developed to deal with this task. As a part of the Termwork even we were supposed to design a plant using a software. Here comes Microsoft Excel to our Rescue, we'd prepared our own MicroSoftware :-) using excel!

Excel Template to calculate the various parameters involved in the design of  a water treatment plant.

It is an a macro enabled excel template consisting a number of redirects, data validation and other stuffs...

The design or the formatting of the above template is consisting the following elements only
  1. Screen Chamber
  2. Aeration Tank Design, Cascaded type aeriator
  3. Sedimentation Tank
  4. Slow Sand Filter

The template is so developed that only the fields that require inputs are accessible and also the  provides suggestions for recommended values.
